Hello! Today at 6 PM
T1 and BLG's MSI 2024 rematch
The semi-final match took place,
It was a highly anticipated match,
and I'm currently on a business trip to Jeju Island.
As soon as I got off work, I wanted to watch it,
so I rushed to a PC Bang.
I was incredibly nervous before the start of the
BLG and T1 rematch.
I really hoped T1 would make it to the finals,
so I cheered them on with all my might.
Yesterday, I watched it at the LoL Park, and
I thought today's LoL Park viewing party would be super fun too.
In Game 1, BLG
banned Azir, Orianna, Ashe, Nidalee, and Corki.
Top laner Bin picked Twisted Fate,
Jungler XUN picked Xin Zhao,
Mid laner Knight picked Taliyah,
ADC Elk picked Kalista,
and Support ON picked Renata Glasc.
In response, T1
banned Camille, Vayne, Jax, Vi, and Ahri.
Top laner Zeus picked K'Sante,
Jungler Oner picked Sejuani,
Mid laner Faker picked Tristana,
ADC Gumayusi picked Senna,
and Support Keria picked Nautilus.
In Game 1, Faker, who picked Tristana,
secured an early kill, and
it seemed like T1 had taken the lead.
However, due to Bin's Twisted Fate and
the opposing team's response, Knight's Taliyah grew strong.
Ultimately, BLG won Game 1.
In Game 2, BLG
banned Twisted Fate, LeBlanc, Senna, Orianna, and Azir.
T1 also used 3 mid lane bans, resulting in
a lot of mid lane bans.
They picked K'Sante top, Wukong jungle, and Nico mid,
Varus ADC and Kalista support, focusing on a strong bottom lane.
In response, T1
banned Ahri, Taliyah, Tristana, Vi, and Vayne.
They picked Camille top, Sejuani jungle, and Akali mid,
Draven ADC, and Ashe support, countering BLG's strong bottom lane picks.
With Zeus's reliable Camille top and
Gumayusi's insane Draven kills,
they destroyed the opposing bottom lane.
T1 continued to rack up kills, and
won Game 2.
The pick and ban phase in Game 3 was really interesting,
with a lot of diverse picks.
BLG banned Azir, Orianna, Ashe, Jax, and Camille.
They picked Twisted Fate top, Xin Zhao jungle, and Annie mid,
Senna ADC, and Ornn support.
In response, T1
picked Yone top, Nidalee jungle, and Sylas mid.
They picked Kalista ADC and Nautilus support.
The Yone counterpick against Twisted Fate, learned from G2, and
the Sylas pick against Annie were quite unexpected.
It was Faker's 83rd champion pick, but
Annie's ultimate kept landing well.
In every team fight, the opposing team got a lot of kills.
T1's picks became a liability, and
BLG won Game 3.
In Game 4, T1
banned Ahri, Taliyah, Kalista, Tristana, and Nidalee.
They picked K'Sante top, Viego jungle, and Aurelion Sol mid,
Senna ADC, and Ornn support.
BLG banned Camille, Jax, Ashe, Orianna, and Azir.
They picked Twisted Fate top, Vi jungle, and Corki mid,
Varus ADC, and Nautilus support.
Game 4 saw T1's team fight victories,
Aurelion Sol's amazing Celestial Expansion ultimate,
and amazing plays from K'Sante and Viego.
T1 secured the win,
leading to a Game 5!
Honestly, I was worried throughout the match, but
I got to hear the Silverscrapes song again.
I thought the pick and ban phase in the final Game 5
was really well done.
Both teams seemed to have made smart champion choices, taking turns picking champions strategically.
BLG banned Azir, Orianna, Ashe, Nidalee, and Jax.
They picked Camille top, Xin Zhao jungle, and Nico mid.
Senna ADC, and Ornn support.
T1 banned Kindred, Vi, Lucian, Renata Glasc, and Ahri.
They picked K'Sante top, Viego jungle, and Taliyah mid.
Varus ADC, and Nautilus support.
It was great to see Faker's
Taliyah after a long time.
T1 had a good early game with successful ganks and
kills, but Bin's
Camille superplay and Nico's ultimate combo
turned the tide.
The intense battle stretched the game, and
unfortunately, T1 lost a team fight in the late game.
BLG won Game 5,
and with a 3-2 victory, advanced to the finals.
It was an intense, back-and-forth match that went all the way to Game 5.
I cheered them on a lot while watching it,
and although there were some regrets,
the players worked incredibly hard.
From the MSI Play-in stage,
they climbed step by step,
and T1 played the most games.
They had a grueling schedule with almost no breaks, constantly playing matches.
Maintaining good condition under such circumstances
must have been incredibly difficult.
Nevertheless, reaching the semi-finals
from the loser's bracket of the Play-in stage
is incredibly impressive.
I hope all the players get a good rest, enjoy their vacation,
and come back in great shape for the LCK Summer!
And tomorrow! Actually, it's today.
At 6 PM, the MSI 2024 finals between BLG and Gen.G will take place!
Personally, I hope an LCK team wins the MSI trophy,
and that Gen.G defeats BLG once again,
avenging T1.
I hope all the Gen.G players give it their all tomorrow,
and I'll be back with a post about the finals!
